Toolstop.co.uk Introduces Functionality to Appeal to Overseas Customers

toolstop.co.ukToolstop, the online trading arm of Noel Kegg Ltd has today upgraded its website to appeal more to shoppers from beyond the traditional UK market.

With the general cost for power tools being more expensive in Europe and with the value of the Euro being higher than ever Toolstop had seen a huge increase in orders being shipped to Europe. In fact, 25% of all outgoing orders are going to overseas locations.

With this in mind Toolstop spoke to their website developers, Indez, who advised they could set the website to make the shopping experience more personal for any foreign customers.

The main new features of the Toolstop.co.uk website are:

  • Customers will automatically be presented with product prices in their local currencies
  • Office opening hours will change on-screen based on time differences
  • Telephone numbers will change based on what they need to dial from their country
  • EU businesses who provide their VAT number will not need to pay VAT
  • Any oversize items we cannot send overseas will be clearly labelled and the ability to add them to the basket will be removed

This new functionality will keep Toolstop in pole position when it comes to attracting non-UK customers to their website. Their website manager Neil Bruce explained "Recently we've seen a huge upsurge in foreign custom which has allowed us to maximise business growth at the same time as offering our overseas customers a fully localised service".
